We are a non-profit startup based in Bangladesh, translating to "Our History", entirely dedicated to revolutionizing the Meitei digital presence.
The Meitei community in Bangladesh carries a rich, deep-rooted heritage that originates directly from Manipur state. However, in an increasingly digital world, much of our traditional art, music, and history risks being left behind.
Eikhoigi Puwari was founded as a cultural initiative to bridge this gap. We recognized that brilliant folk artists and storytellers lacked the technical know-how and financial backing to share their work globally.
When we say we want to "promote" our culture to the next level, our focus is entirely on awareness and preservation. We do not seek to convert or have other communities join us in our practices; rather, we want the world to recognize the beauty of khunung ishei, the grace of our jagois, and the depth of our Puwari.
By empowering the younger generation to participate, we ensure these traditions evolve rather than fade.
